I had been working on opening the Etsy shop again, and at last, the shop is open with several recent screen prints, including the latest screen print 'Bluebells and Wood Mice' (10x10cm image on 21x21cm paper).

I am going to put more items, not only screen prints but also original paper-cut artwork etc.

Updated Portfolio!

The last craft market before Christmas was over last Sunday.  Now, I have to gear up for the Christmas preparation.  Alongside I am trying to update the portfolio (See above this window. There are salmon pink tool bars.)  I have put part of the new pieces which I created for the solo exhibition in November in Japan.

Updated parts are:

Please look at the difference between the original paper-cut artwork and the screen print.  They give you quite different impression.

As a start, I put 2 listings of my latest screen prints, My Summer Garden and Summer Meadow (pictured below).

I still need to improve the visibility of my listings and maintain my shop step by step.  Anyway Please have a look!

Created 'My Pages' on the blog!

You may have already noticed, but just in case still not noticed; I have created 'My Pages' on my blog, which show my art work in order.  The art pieces were uploaded as I created with explanations or stories.  But 'May Pages' are sorted in different art making methods.  Every art work has a short caption, which looks neat!

Please look at the picture below:

Under the front page picture, you can see the 3 categories circled with a black line.  They are 'My Pages'.  Just click one of these, one of  'My Pages' appears.  The art pieces in 'Drawings' are not new but not yet introduced on my blog diary.  They are still ongoing and more pieces should be put in.

To Begin with

I started drawing with colouring pencils and water colours plants some years ago; at first around in our garden, then I went to the meadow, the woodland and the field near by our house.

I like always to look through the windows of a train, a car, a coach or whatever.  Especially in the winter, I make myself busy with finding deciduous trees with bare branches.  Every tree has different shape and different character, if trees have characters.  (Yes, I think so.)

There are now relief printings I have already created since then.  (I am going to write about relief printing some time later.)  As having opened my own blog account just recently, I will introduce my printings one by one in 'My Art Work'.  Also I will tell about plants including trees and leaves in 'Trees' from time to time.
